Tretinoin was subscribed to help thinning facial skin that was constantly bleeding when I used a washcloth. I have used it for 6 weeks now and it has made a significant difference. Where I have been applying the cream I am no longer bleeding. Where I have not applied the cream I am having bleeding issues so I am extending the use of the cream.

What exactly is Resveratrol? Is it anything like Retin A?

Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant found in red wine/grapes and OTC supplements that contain it. It is used for anti-aging purposes and to fight free radicals that cause damage to the DNA/RNA structure of human cells in the body. These cells can be damaged and/or die in that process. So, to answer your question Madam they are nothing alike by any means. Retin-A is a synthetic retinoid applied topically to the skin to exfoliate it.

I was initially prescribed Finacea for my roseacea, but my most recent dermatologist has prescribed Tretinoin for my facial acne (nasal blackheads.) Do any of you on this board use both together and if so, how and in what order?

Question:
A friend went to Mexico and brought me back Retin A and also something called EPITREL (tretinoina) 40g the package says tretinoina (acido retinoico) 100g. He was told this a generic form of Retin A. Since we don't speak spanish I want to know is this really a generic version of Retin A, and can I use it just like the Retin A and is it just as good?
Thanks

Yes, Tretinoin-A is the generic form of Retin A. It's what I get from the pharmacy as a replacement for the name brand.

Tretinoin included within Rogaine have FULLY damaged my hair follicles, and with it immediately infecting additional hair follicles for being grown within areas while not rescinding. A Biopsy & Pathology have obviously included the given damage, but with the FDA for fully not caring - and when also including the PA State Police for also knowing the FDA Rules & Regulations were obviously broken but not doing anything while additionally not caring.
