This product is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain. Its exact mechanism of action is unknown, but is an NSAID that produces an analgesic effect and is anti-inflammatory in nature.

Black Box Warning:
This product has a black box warning relating to a need for short term appropriate usage of the product, including not using with other NSAIDs or in an epidural and only in appropriate populations; an increased risk or potentially fatal gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and renal adverse events; its risks in labor and delivery; its increased risk of bleeding; and an increased risk of anaphylaxis/severe allergic reaction.
