This recall for Methylin Chewable Tablets 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg was issued at a warehouse and pharmacy level only. Mallinckrodt Inc. Recalls Several Lots of Methylin Chewable Tablets (methylphenidate HCl) 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg

Mallinckrodt Inc. is recalling several lots of Methylin Chewable Tablets (methylphenidate HCl) 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg. The following lot numbers have been recalled because stability testing indicated these lots may expire earlier than the expiration date stated: Methylin Chewable Tablets 2.5 mg – Lot number AMT21102A

Methylin Chewable Tablets 5 mg – Lot numbers AMT51101A and AMT51102A

Methylin Chewable Tablets 10 mg – Lot numbers AMTIOI lOlA and AMTIOII02A

Methylin contains the active ingredient methylphenidate and is commonly used in the treatment of attention deficit disorder (ADD). This recall alert only applies to the select lots of Methylin Chewable Tablets 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg. No other methylphenidate products were involved in this recall.
